Supporting the UX/UI Evolution of a Connected Productivity System
About
kōno
kōno is a productivity system built around both hardware and software. Through a physical timer and a companion macOS app, it helped users structure work sessions, reduce distractions, and create more intentional routines around focus.
The product already had an initial concept and internal direction, but needed more UX/UI consistency as it evolved. Our role was to support the team in developing and refining the experience, helping turn existing ideas into a clearer, more scalable product.
What We Delivered
Every decision was made to help the product feel more consistent, usable, and ready to evolve.

UX/UI design support
We collaborated with the NEO66 team over an ten-month period, supporting the ongoing UX/UI development of a connected productivity product created for Lamy. Rather than defining the original concept, our role was to help shape and refine the ideas the team was already building.
Design system and style guide
We reviewed the existing product and developed a stronger style guide to support consistency as the system evolved. This included the creation of components, UI elements, and visual rules that made the experience easier to scale over time.

Onboarding and dashboard improvements
We refined key parts of the experience, including onboarding, registration, and dashboard flows, to make the product feel clearer, more intuitive, and easier to navigate in day-to-day use.
Not every product needs a full reinvention. Sometimes it needs the right design partner to help it evolve well.
We support growing teams with UX/UI that brings more clarity, consistency, and momentum to existing products.
